Redeeming the Routines locates the basic reasons for the gap between faith and daily life.  The author identifies the activities – commuting, shopping, and working; time, money, and housing pressures; conversation, leisure, and sleeping; the impact of cars, phones, and computers – that we need to think about more Christianly. He then suggests specific ways in which individuals, churches, and colleagues can bring their faith to bear on such matters and provides models for doing this.
