Description

Dr. Gillis’ interest in Church History was stimulated by the writings of the Reformers and Puritans on the historicist view of the Book of Revelation and by widespread travel on the Continent. He has not only visited the sites of the martyrs, but also has attempted to trace the places in Rome where remains recording these events–often in the haughtiest fashion–may still be seen.In the course of his travels, Dr. Gillis noticed the lack of contemporary Protestant literature about these events. So when the opportunity arose to submit articles to the English Churchman, Dr. Gillis made his contributions in the form of the articles collected in this book.
