Description

Since the beginning of the 2020s, the world has been rocked by crises: the Covid-19 pandemic, war in Ukraine, and economic downturn. All this has happened against a backdrop of cultural, moral and spiritual confusion and decline,   especially in the Western World. By viewing these events through the lens of the Bible,  especially its teaching on divine judgement, Paul Yeulett attempts to make sense of current events by asking two questions: Is God acting in judgement? How should Christians think, act and speak at a time like this?

This book is grounded in the experience of  present events but also takes a long-term view of history and does not shy away from asking tough questions which challenge many assumptions about life and death, church and nations, wealth and poverty, gender and the environment. It concludes with a chapter written in response to the Israel-Gaza conflict.
